Last night a very dear friend of Kiddo #3 was brutally torn to pieces. She was very sad. Here's a tribute to Raspberry (a.k.a. Charlie Brown) (Kiddo #1 was also sad because she was the owner of the tragic victim, but #3 decided that possession is 9/10 of the law =P).
Each summer

as the fly's move in all the kiddos move out. They stay out there for weeks at a time (or until the grass is dead). They take everything they could possibly ever need for a week long sleep out, and then some, out to their tents. Well last night as we were at our
final (typed with a BIG smile) softball games, the black fury creature of destruction that you can see in the picture, decided to strike. He's usually a pretty good dog. But he has a giant downside. He thinks he's one of us. And so when you leave him home he gets mad and seeks revenge for being so cruelly abandoned. He never chews up stuff when we're here, just when we're gone. He's gone through pillows, sleeping bags, multiple blankets, toys, etc. you get the picture. Last night, he snuck into one of the tents, he's sneaky like a ninja, and murdered poor Raspberry.

Raspberry will be missed. She has seen kiddo #3 through some very hard times. She was with her during her stay at a local kid friendly resort (hospital). It was the one thing #3 really wanted the whole time she was there, and didn't hardly leave her side, except when we took this picture obviously, she's hanging out over on the shelf. She's been with her during good times. Oh, if she could only talk, which she really can't now that her face is missing and all, we would learn of all the secret goings ons at slumber parties.
We will miss poor Raspberry. Some of us more than others. But thanks for all the good times. For the companionship. For all the cuddles. For being super soft. And never telling anything that was told to you in confidence.

Good-bye dear friend. Raspberry we love you, be happy in that fluffy Teddy Bear cloud in the sky.

"what, what did you say? I can't hear you!"
Sorry for kiddo #3 but I have to say that the last pictorial made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteShe took that picture and told me that's what I had to put under it!
