UEA Weekend

It sure would be nice if all weekends could be as long and as fun as last weekend! The kiddos were out of school for UEA. And Steven decided to surprise us and take the two days off so we were all together. We started the weekend off with a late night on Wednesday. Then off to early morning volleyball practice on Thursday morning. Kiddo #2 is raking in the money working for a family in the ward doing yard work, so he went and did that on Thurs. morning. Thurs. afternoon we got one of Kiddo #1's friends to come stay with the 4 younger kiddo's and the rest of us went and did baptisms at Jordan River Temple with most of Steve's family. It was a great experience and was so fun to be there together. Friday a couple of the kiddo's went to their friends' house. Most of us walked to the park and played tag. Then we went home and took naps. Later that evening we went to the drive in. We watched Despicable Me and Toy Story 3. It was a great night for going. As long as the wind didn't blow, it wasn't very cold, well at least for the middle of October! Saturday we were up and running early. Kiddo #1 had the opportunity to go to Temple Square and play the organ in the Assembly Hall. First she went down stairs where they have 3 different organs in 3 different rooms and she was able to try playing each of those. Then she got to go upstairs and preform on the organ up there. She did AWESOME!!!! It's hard to see in the picture, but the organ is behind the pianos.

The rest of us had fun walking around Temple Square. Then we rushed off to a family birthday party. We had fun and ate good food. Then we ran to some stores and headed home. On Sunday we got up and went to church which went rather well considering the primary music leader and back up music leader both were sick. The kids did a great job leading the music.

Ahhh, good times!
