I don't know about the tooth fairy that comes to any of your homes, but the one that is supposed to stop at our house needs to be fired! Man is she lazy. You have to let her know weeks in advance that you will be losing a tooth. Something about not carrying cash. Most times she doesn't even show up for a couple of days after you loose a tooth. And she has been known to just swipe money that someone left laying around and leave it for the toothless kiddo. We've had a little, and I use the term loosely, (hahaha no pun intended - get it loosely? Loose tooth? funny, huh????) success with instead of putting the tooth under pillows we tack the tooth in a baggie to the bulletin board in the hall way, you know by mom and dad's room. She had such a bugger of a time remembering to stop by and then when she would stop by she could never find the teeth under the pillows. She would not make a good detective! But ever since we've started putting the teeth on the board, she's gotten a little better. It took her over 4 days one time to show up. The funniest part, is that the kiddo who lost the tooth, didn't even notice. Well, luckily for kiddo #6, that darn Tooth Fairy pulled it together, and stopped by last night. Although, rumor has it that she almost forgot. It's was this kiddo's first loose tooth. Now the little kiddo has money and is ready to spend!
